Meet a Few of Our 2023 Super Moms
Mother’s Day is one of our favorite seasons at Dot & Dash. One inspiring way we celebrate Moms, Grandmas, Mimis, and Bonus Moms each year is to host our Supermom Contest. And this year 2023 has been a banner year for entries!
Read on for a bit of “momspiration" as we highlight some of our special Super Moms Contest winners.
Supermom, Anju B.
Nominated by her daughter, Shika, this selfless mom and grandma, Anju B., sheds grace and light on her family.
Shika shared, “My mom is the ultimate Super Mom candidate! She is the most selfless, kind, and generous lady in the world, and she always puts her family first. Not only is she a loving mother to my sibling and me, but she is also a wonderful grandma who shows her unconditional love and support for her family. She is the kind of lady who will go above and beyond for everyone around her. She knows what everyone likes and surprises us with our favorite foods all the time. She has a great sense of style, and her elegance and grace make her stand out from the crowd. Overall, my mom is the light in our lives, and she is the thread that holds our family happily together (much like one of your beautiful necklaces) ... she truly deserves to be recognized as a Super Mom.”
Congratulations to our next generous Supermom, June C. She was nominated by her friend, Dale. Over the years, June has diligently cared for her extended family, At one point, she was caring for three important people in her life simultaneously. June helped her Dad who was battling Parkinsons, her Mom who was battling Lung Cancer, and her Auntie who had suffered a stroke. Dale also shared that over the years, June has also been a loving Foster Mother to two girls.
“June is so special because she puts others before herself. She is such a remarkable woman — so strong, positive and supportive. While she was in college, she found time to help her mother care for her great-grandmother. She has always been so giving of her time, understanding, patience and love. God bless her for stepping up to be a super caregiver to so many around her. There are many special qualities that June shares with so many, and I knew it was time to give back to her,” added Dale.
Supermom, Brittany B.
Nominated by her husband, Max, our next Supermom is Brittany B. Brittany cares for her four amazing kids plus a wonderful foreign exchange student from Italy. According to Max, Brittany always balances life with a smile.
Max shares, “My wife, Brittany, is in her last 4 months of nursing school. I am so proud of her and what she is doing. She has wanted this dream for a long time, and put it on hold for 9 years. She has held a 3.8 GPA throughout school. With all the hours of studying, staying up late, and getting up early, she still manages to be a super mom. She takes the kids to practice and makes their games and competitions (sometimes while even studying in the stands). I couldn’t pick anyone else that I think deserves super mom more than Brittany."
