Dash of Kindness Deliveries for Back to School

The Dot & Dash Team wanted to encourage another important group of people that work diligently behind the scenes to make each school year special for an endless sea of students and parents. 

There are so many outstanding teachers, coaches, fine arts directors, counselors, librarians, school nurses, bus drivers, crossing guards, maintenance/food services team members, and school administrators serving day-in and day-out across the nation. Although we wish we could drop by and encourage EACH ONE, we were honored to share some of our favorite words and messages with a few of these heroes in the great state of Texas during the first few weeks of school. 

Here are a few insights from these start-of-school “Dash of Kindness” deliveries! Depending on the location, we usually presented two or three necklaces, earrings or bracelets - with a variety of Morse Code messages - to let the specific recipient select their special piece of Dot & Dash jewelry. 

So many stories. It is such an amazing process to watch - seeing a Middle School Administrator's smile brighten when she selected our "BRAVE" earrings for a staff giveaway at her campus ... or noticing the eyes of a teacher fill up with quiet tears as she selected our "OVERCOME" necklace. We discovered that one of the elementary educators was returning full-time to the classroom for the first time in 5+ years. Encouraging women with meaningful words is what Dot & Dash is all about. In the Austin community, we helped a second year teacher share a design with his School Administrator for a giveaway at an upcoming staff meeting. We so enjoyed encouraging educator's hearts at the start of this school year.
