And So ... a "Dash of Kindness" Begins!

Friends … collectively, we have all navigated a wildly unexpected path over the past few years. As fellows human, riding this swirling ball of a planet, our Team makes it our mission to be a part of hope-bringing and encouraging-confetti-throwing whenever possible. And so, to usher in a bit of hope and happiness ahead … we started a fun, new initiative we can’t wait to share with you!

The heart behind Dot & Dash Design is to create beautiful jewelry that moves people to feel
more connected, confident, encouraged and loved. That mostly happens through you – our customers – who are giving away our creations to your people – while we live vicariously through your kindness.

So we decided it was time to step out from behind our beading benches and get more directly in this line of joy-giving fun! This Christmas season, we’re kicking off a “Dash of Kindness.” From random encounters with strangers – to carefully planned encouragement for caregivers and people in crisis – we’re excited about all the ways our team can share kindness and love with the communities around us. We invite you to take a sip of your chai latte or nitro cold brew, read on, and soak up the shared happiness as we unfold the first few stories of “Dash of Kindness” deliveries.

And so it begins! Our team launched into the holidays with a bit of happy. One of our stops? A Whole Foods Parking Lot (did you know this amazing company was founded in Austin?) - where this lovely shopper had a few fun Dot & Dash Design options to consider as a "happy random gift!"  When presented three beautiful designs, she selected our Fearless bracelet. Her husband stated that their 11-year old daughter might really love this word ... but Mom declared that she was keeping this word for herself! We love that!

Next? Well we drove through to offer a Dash of Kindness to one of the “bringers of caffeine-filled-morning hope” that we all adore. This delivery included a drive through visit to an Austin-area Starbucks where this fun barista selected our beautiful Bad Ass earrings. Her smile was amazing as she received this gift! We feel certain that she will do these earrings proud as she wears them or gifts them to her bestie.
